We are thrilled to announce our 2019 Leader Forum locations, dates and registration links!
Our theme for this year is Local to Global. We’ll discuss initiatives on a local scale and how some local ideas can grow to have global impact. Topics will include Scholarly Communications, open educational resources, solution-oriented collaborations within the community, organizational cultural assessments, community supported open source technologies and more. We’ll examine these through real-world case studies, panel discussions and projects presented by experts in archives, libraries, museums, galleries and publishing.

What are the Leaders Forums?
The Leaders Forums are small, in-person gatherings across the US, Canada and soon the globe, to discuss, explore and workshop ideas, problems and potential solutions that might be funded. Experts from the LYRASIS team and from the LYRASIS community of influencers bring new concepts, trends and ideas to be considered and discussed.
Over the last year and a half, LYRASIS has hosted 23 Leaders Forums, regional in-person meetings pulling together a diverse cross section of thought leaders to discuss, dissect and focus on cross-functional opportunities. These sessions have become the ideas factory for our Leaders Circle and help us identify the needs, challenges and opportunities you face on a daily basis.
What happens at a Forum?
The format will be 9am-3pm face-to-face meeting limited to about 30-40 local leaders from archives, museums and libraries. The day will be broken into 40-50 minutes sessions and include presentations on real, on innovative projects and programs by participants and experts as well as brief overviews by senior LYRASIS staff and guest speakers on the state of the community as we see it. And then the fun begins, with an engaging, fast-paced conversation among all the attendees.
Who should attend?
Key influencers, movers & shakers, senior leaders in archives, libraries and museums. LYRASIS Leader Circle Members are encouraged to attend along with local archivists, librarians and museum staff in each Forum city. You do not have to be a LYRASIS Member to attend. Local influencers are encouraged to be a part of our Forums!
