ORCID Data Visualization Project

Use our new data visualization resources to create a visual map of publication collaborations between authors at your institution and authors across the globe based on public data from ORCID records! Thanks to a collaboration with two fellows from the Drexel University LEADING program, anyone can create a collaboration map using open tools (RStudio and Tableau). See our recent data visualization community call recording and project webpage for more details.

Nominations Open: ORCID US Community Awards

The ORCID US Community Awards encourage and provide recognition for participation, sharing, and achievements in the ORCID US Community. Remember to nominate your colleagues for the “Most Helpful Individual” award by Nov. 30! More details, including award categories, can be found on our ORCID US Community Awards page. Award winners will be announced at our annual members meeting in December.

Due to increasing demand, we have started to offer the session multiple times per year. The first two sessions of 2023 combined had over 1,100 registrants and were attended by over 470 individuals. The workshops are always recorded and shared to all registrants. Watch the most recent workshop recording and check out our Events page for upcoming sessions and other ORCID US Community events.

ORCID, DataCite, and IRUS

The ORCID US Community, the Lyrasis DataCite US Community for DOIs, and the IRUS US Community(Institutional Repository Usage Statistics) programs were featured at the 2023 “LyrOpen Fair” in April, a series of webinar discussions focused on open content and infrastructure. Check out the event recap to learn more about how these open infrastructure programs help organizations to gauge researcher activity and impact, and more.
