The 2025 Lyrasis Board of Trustees Election will be held Monday, April 22, through Friday, May 3. During this time, Lyrasis Members Voting Representatives will receive a ballot and vote for new board members to serve a 3-year term. In the spirit of fostering collaboration and ensuring that all voices within our community are heard, Lyrasis Board Members are nominated and voted on by members. In the past, there were often times that the nominees were hand-selected by the Board, and candidates were run without options.
Our goal is to conduct true elections that reflect the collective will of our community. By selecting representatives, we aim to foster a sense of unity and solidarity among our members while ensuring that everyone's voice is heard. In this year’s election cycle, members will have the opportunity to select representatives from the pool of nominees. Rather than voting for one nominee over another, members will be asked to consider the qualities, experiences and perspectives of each nominee and select those who they believe would best serve the needs of our organization.
We believe that this new elections process aligns with our organization's values of inclusivity, fairness and collaboration. We encourage all members to participate actively in the nomination and selection process to help shape the future direction of our organization.
