The Council of Library and Information Resources (CLIR) is offering an opportunity for institutions to receive funding to digitize collections of high scholarly value. CLIR expects to award about $4 million for digitization, and the funding can support outsourced digitization of special collections.

The deadline is approaching soon: Tuesday, April 3rd.

LYRASIS can help support your project by providing:

  • digitization and project management services – working through our Digitization Collaborative we can digitize a wide range of source materials including print/manuscript/microfilm/photographic materials/audio/video and film and manage the process for you. See more at: lyrasis.org/digitize
  • information on processes and standards that you could include in your proposal
  • professional development opportunities – we offer a wide range of classes and can work with you to provide specific digitization classes to help your staff. See our current class schedule to learn more: http://www.lyrasis.org/Pages/Events.aspx
