Our Board of Trustees is looking for your ideas to inform their plans for the future of LYRASIS. LYRASIS’ priorities are determined and shaped by Members’ priorities. How do you plan to acquire and deliver digital content in the future? What changes in technology do you anticipate in the next five years? What new skills and knowledge will you be looking for in your staff? Are you considering changes in how your facilities are used to support your community?
To assist the Board as it kicks off a new strategic planning process this summer, a short survey will be sent in April to all directors of Member institutions. It will only take about 10 minutes of your time to complete. This is one opportunity for you to speak directly to the Board about your plans and concerns for the future. In addition, the up-to-date assessment you provide will be valuable information for LYRASIS’ new Executive Director (when he or she begins in the summer) about your organization’s priorities.
This survey is part of a larger environmental scan process being conducted by the Board, which also includes assessments of current programs and activities, and interviews with field leaders to identify big picture trends and issues. The LYRASIS 2020 survey results will be shared with Members by early June, and Board planning activities will take place throughout the summer.
