Atlanta, GA – November 3, 2016 – LYRASIS, a leading non-profit membership organization serving archives, libraries and museums with content, software and technology is pleased to announce the recent hire of Jonathan Green. Green will join the LYRASIS team as Repository Developer in the Technology Services Division. In this role, he will focus on the LYRASIS Islandora Hosting program and developing long-term opportunities to serve the LYRASIS community of members and users with the open source Islandora digital repository framework.
Jonathan Green comes to LYRASIS with more than 10 years’ experience in software engineering and was on the original team that wrote Islandora 7.x as well as being the author of the Tuque Library. Previously, Green served as Chief Technology Officer for discoverygarden, a long-time contributor and service provider for Islandora. In his new role as Repository Developer at LYRASIS, Green will not only work to sustain and improve current LYRASIS Islandora Hosting services, but will also explore longer-term opportunities to integrate Islandora with other open-source platforms and directly engage with the Islandora project.
