FREDERICK, MARYLAND and ATLANTA, GEORGIA, November 1, 2016 – The Crowley Company, a worldwide provider of production- and patron-level analog and digital scanning equipment and services, announced today that the company has entered into a vendor partnership with LYRASIS.

LYRASIS partners with member libraries, archives and museums and other cultural heritage organizations to create, access and manage information with an emphasis on digital content, while building and sustaining collaboration, enhancing operations and technology, and increasing buying power. “Crowley and LYRASIS have worked together for years, recommending each other to prospective organizations that could benefit from our individual offerings. We’ve done so without recompense and realized that we could strengthen the benefit of this symbiosis to the end-user by solidifying the partnership and offering a unified set of products and services to the archives community,” says McCabe. “This agreement is a formal acknowledgement between our two organizations which will enhance the buying power of those seeking scanning equipment and collection management.”

Celeste Feather, Senior Director for Licensing and Strategic Partnerships at LYRASIS, notes that the partnership will enhance program offerings by “giving our members the best prices on some of the most respected microform and book scanner brands in the industry, including Mekel Technology, Wicks and Wilson, InoTec, Qidenus and Zeutschel.” Additionally, “Crowley understands the archives industries as a manufacturer, distributor and service bureau and has the unique ability to help us provide our members with multi-prong solutions from a single source. That’s a value that both we and our members can appreciate.”

The partnership is effective immediately. LYRASIS members can find the Crowley offerings on the LYRASIS homepage.
